An overnight strike on Kiev raised the death toll to 31.
On the night of 31 July, Russian forces launched a massive strike on Kiev using attack drones and cruise missiles. As a result of the attack, residential houses and infrastructure facilities were destroyed, and search and rescue operations are ongoing. According to the latest data, the death toll has reached 31 people. This is reported by the head of the Kiev city military administration Timur Tkachenko and the police of the capital.
According to Tkachenko, in Svyatoshinsky district rescuers continue to remove the rubble. During the night, the bodies of three more victims were found - a woman and her two daughters aged 10 and 13.
According to the Air Force, the attack involved 309 attack drones and eight Iskander-K missiles. The main target of the strike this time was Kiev. The most destruction was recorded in Svyatoshinsky and Solomensky districts of the city.
There were hits in residential houses, non-residential buildings, cars, as well as one of the universities. In Svyatoshynskyi district, the entrance of a multi-storey building was completely destroyed.
