Russia’s massive attack on Kyiv: there have been fatalities, many people have been injured, and there is widespread destruction across all parts of the city

As a result of the massive Russian attack on Kyiv on the night of 2 July, damage and destruction were reported at more than 30 locations across all districts of the capital by 8 am.
There have been significant direct hits on residential buildings.
In the capital, as of now (8 am), 11 deaths and more than 30 injuries have been confirmed. Unfortunately, the number of casualties is set to rise. People are continuing to seek help, said Interior Minister Igor Klimenko.
According to Timur Tkachenko, head of the Kyiv City State Administration, people are still being rescued from the rubble.
He noted that 56 people have been confirmed injured, including at least two children.
Kyiv residents must under no circumstances ignore the air-raid sirens. The Russians are deliberately targeting residential buildings. This night has once again revealed their terrorist nature,” warned the head of the Kyiv City State Administration.
The relevant services are currently working to set up operational headquarters near key affected locations to provide assistance.
On the night of 2 July, Russian forces carried out a massive combined attack on Kyiv using drones and various types of missiles. Air defence forces were in operation in the city for an extended period due to the enemy shelling.
The attack resulted in extensive damage to civilian infrastructure. The State Emergency Service has released photographs of the aftermath, documenting the extinguishing of large-scale fires in high-rise residential blocks, the private sector and at warehouse facilities.
In particular, a three-storey non-residential building – an ambulance substation – caught fire in the Shevchenkivskyi district.
