Zelensky explained why the Russians are having success on the home front

The main reason for the advance of Russian troops in eastern Ukraine remains the slow manning of brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and, as a result, the delay in rotations of depleted units. President Volodymyr Zelensky said in an interview with Ukrainian Radio.

There is a slow but pressing and advancement of the Russians. For various reasons: filling our brigades with trained people, filling and equipping them with weapons - all these processes have been quite slow. We have been waiting for the delivery of some weapons for 12 months from our allies," the President said.

He noted that a number of brigades, which are now carrying out combat missions on the battlefield, stand unstaffed.

Nobody wants to abandon them as meat, as the Russians do, that is why they are standing," Zelensky said.

The President also noted that the Russian army suffers heavy losses - 1.5-2 thousand wounded and killed every day. He stressed that the invaders would not be able to constantly advance with such losses, and therefore the enemy's offensive has already slowed down in some parts of the front.

Meanwhile, a report by the US-based Institute for the Study of War(ISW) said that Ukrainian troops have advanced southeast of Korenevo amid ongoing fighting along the main "Ukrainian bridgehead" in the Kursk region. Russian invaders continued limited offensives in northern Kharkiv Oblast on 14 and 15 November, but did not advance. Russian troops were advancing near Vysokaya Yaruga, Liptsev and Hlubokoye, near Tyhoho, Staritsa and Volchansk.
