Psychological state of schoolchildren and teachers deteriorates under war conditions - study


In the conditions of war, 78 per cent of teachers feel devastated and constantly tired, and 57 per cent of pupils are indifferent to their studies.
In the frontline areas, 78 per cent of teachers feel devastated and constantly tired. Fifty-seven per cent of pupils are indifferent to their studies. This is stated in a study by the educational foundation GoGlobal with the support of Finn Church Aid (FCA).
4,000 educators shared their work and feelings. According to the study, more than 87% of teachers from border and frontline areas need more time to recuperate than usual.
It is noted that 78% of teachers feel devastated and constantly tired. Emotional stability is felt by less than 40% of educators, and 82% note that they have become more anxious.
No less alarming results concern the psychological state of schoolchildren. Fifty-seven per cent of pupils are indifferent to their studies, and 55% of them have deterioration of memory and attention concentration.
