Ukrainian President Zelenskyy is due to meet British Prime Minister Keir Starmer. The Ukrainian head of state is also expected to attend a summit of European leaders in London.
Starmer is expected to receive more than a dozen other European leaders in London in addition to Zelenskyy. The leaders plan to discuss security guarantees that Europe can offer Kiev in the event of a ceasefire with Russia.
The Guardian writes that before the planned event Starmer will hold talks with Zelensky by Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni.
Earlier on 28 February, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky had an emotional discussion with US President Donald Trump and Vice President J.D. Vance about Russia's war against Ukraine. During it, he said he would not accept a ceasefire without security guarantees.
Subsequently, Zelensky left the White House earlier than planned.
