A radio film about the Mariupol Drama Theatre was created in Ukraine
The radio film "Meet on Drama" was produced to mark the anniversary of the destruction of the Mariupol Drama Theatre due to a Russian airstrike.
This was reported by Public Radio.
The initiator and co-author was Yulia Soganci, a former sound engineer at the Mariupol Theatre.
I thought it would just be a story-remembrance of the past theatrical times, but after talking to friends and colleagues I realized that the Mariupol theatre was destroyed twice. First the Russian culture, then the Russian bomb, says Yulia.
The radio film consists of recollections of workers and visitors, telling the story of the Dramatheatre. As well as the Russian influence on its work.

Recall that on 16 March 2022, a Russian airstrike destroyed the Mariupol theatre building and claimed hundreds of lives of civilians hiding from the bombs.
