Ministry of Health said about dozens of doctors killed in the war

The Russians are purposefully destroying hospitals in Ukraine.



The medical industry in Ukraine suffered greatly during the Russian invasion. Dozens of outpatient clinics, hospitals and laboratories have been destroyed. thousands of people were left in the occupation without qualified medical care, and dozens of doctors were killed. This is stated on the Facebook page of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine :

Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the Russian invaders have been destroying the medical infrastructure of Ukraine: destroying hospitals and other medical facilities, removing equipment, killing doctors and qualified medical personnel

The department clarified that 29 civilian doctors were killed and more than 100 were injured at the hands of the invaders. Also, over 1,000 medical institutions were damaged in eight months, of which 94 institutions were completely restored, and 203 were partially restored.

The Ministry of Health noted that even in such a difficult time, doctors continue to fulfill their duties and provide medical services, and hospitals are equipped with new tools and medical equipment:

Only in the past week and only by the Center for Public Health, with the support of the Global Fund, the following medical equipment was purchased and distributed to the regions: 88 blood gas analyzers; 19 multiparametric patient monitors with ECG; 48 modular patient monitors; 168 tablet computers; 886 pulse oximeters; 169 GeneXpert systems, 45 MAC X-ray systems

The Ministry of Health added that cooperation between Ukrainian doctors and European ones is growing.
