Ukrainian troops make important gains in Robotino, west of Zaporizhzhya

This is stated in the daily report of the Institute for the Study of War - ISW.

Geolocation footage indicates that Ukrainian forces have reached the central part of Robotino (10km south of Orekhov) and breached some Russian defensive fortifications south of Malaya Tokmachka (9km southeast of Orekhov)

ISW has previously assessed that the Ukrainian attacks on Robotino are tactically important, as a Ukrainian offensive in the area could allow Ukrainian forces to begin bypassing the densest Russian minefields.

Ukraine's deputy defence minister, Anna Malyar, said that Ukrainian forces had achieved success to the southeast of Robotino and south of Malaya Tokmachka, while Russian forces unsuccessfully counterattacked east of Robotino. Malyar and Russian sources said fighting continued in Rabotino.
