There are currently 20 Russian ships in the Black Sea.

This was reported by the head of the joint press centre of the southern defence forces, Nataliya Humenyuk, in a news marathon.

According to her, 20 ships and many units of the auxiliary fleet are currently registered in the Black Sea.

We are carefully monitoring the grouping of ships in the Black Sea and the actions of the enemy. An atypical activity and number of ship groupings has been recorded. Now there are 20 units in the Black Sea, among them 4 missile carriers - one of them submarine - 28 missiles, to say the least, can be equipped for launching.

Most likely these ships are withdrawn in order to search for the wreckage of a US drone. The military leadership of the aggressor state has said this before.

Humenyuk also notes that the occupiers are trying "to cover the theatre of naval actions in the Black Sea as much as possible and trying to hide their actions" from Ukrainian defenders.

It is worth recalling that on 14 March, a Russian Su-27 fighter jet damaged an American reconnaissance strike UAV MQ-9 Reaper over the Black Sea. The drone had to be sunk.

The US described the actions of the Russian pilots as "dangerous, unprofessional and reckless".
