The Hungarian government has extended temporary protection for Ukrainian refugees for another year. Asylum will now be valid until 4 March 2024.
This was reported by RBC-Ukraine.
Reportedly, the validity of the residence permit card will continue automatically.
Ukrainian refugees do not have to take any additional actions. The validity of the plastic card has been extended by law.
If someone asks about the validity of your residence card, e.g. your employer or any service providers (health, education), please inform them about the extension and show them the law guaranteeing that the plastic card is valid until 4 March 2024", advises the UN Refugee Agency in Hungary.
Refer to government regulation 58/2023 of 28 February 2023 and section 5(3) of government regulation 86/2022 of 7 March 2022.
