Trump called Canada "vile" and its politicians "lying"

US President Donald Trump has said that Canada is "one of the nastiest countries" he has ever encountered. This was stated by Trump in an interview with Fox News.

He repeated his remarks that Canada should become the 51st state of the United States, and also harshly criticised the country as a trading partner of the United States.

He also pointed out that he "worked with a lot of countries," but Canada was "one of the nastiest he had to deal with."

In addition, Trump criticised the representatives of former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, calling them "dishonest" and claiming that "they never told the truth".

At the same time, the US President noted that it is easier for him to work with representatives of the Liberal Party of Canada than with the Conservatives.

Recall, since March 4, Donald Trump imposed 25 per cent tariffs on most Canadian and Mexican imports. In response, Canadian Prime Minister (at the time) Justin Trudeau announced 25 per cent tariffs on $155 billion worth of American goods, and the Canadian province of Ontario announced its retaliation for the tariffs to make America "feel the pain."
