They want to expand their influence: Russia is forming mercenary units to be sent to Africa

Russia is forming detachments of so-called "military instructors", which it wants to send to African countries in the future. In this way, the aggressor country is trying to expand its influence.
Mercenaries are attracted by money and "security". This was reported by the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Defence Ministry of Ukraine.
According to the SMM, the enemy is conducting "persistent recruiting" in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine, including Crimea.
The contracts are offered to be signed by the military reserve of the Russian occupation army - specialists in the maintenance of Russian-made air defence systems, military sailors and some other specialists in the military-technical sphere," the Defence Ministry's Main Intelligence Directorate said.
The agreements offered by the Russians are for several years. At the same time, the invaders promise salaries commensurate with the monetary support of Russian occupants fighting against Ukraine.
In addition, the mercenaries are attracted by the possibility of avoiding participation in the war against Ukraine.
The GUR believes that the purpose of sending Russian mercenaries to Africa is to expand their influence on these countries.
