The Telegraph: Russian Federation has been preparing to fight for years

Russia is turning business into a tool to ramp up arms production.
Russia is preparing for a prolonged war and is therefore restructuring its economy to serve the orders of the Russian Defence Ministry. This is according to The Telegraph, citing its own source.
They are talking about mobilising their defence industry over the next three years, which means they are aiming to wage war for at least 3-4 years," the source said.
It is noted that it is impossible to assess the full scale of Russia's military production, as information about the Russian defence industry is classified and propaganda actively exaggerates or simply lies. But experts are sure that the Russian military-industrial complex is actively developing.
Russia claimed to have produced 1,530 tanks and 2,518 armoured fighting vehicles last year. This means that the production of tanks increased by 560% and APCs by 350%. Also Russia plans to produce 2 million artillery shells per year, - is indicated in the material.
As the publication writes, such a scale of military production is frightening and makes us think that Putin's army will go further in case of conquest of Ukraine.
The hint is obvious: if the West does not act, Ukraine may lose the war. And what will happen after that, no one knows, but there are worrying signals coming from Moscow regarding a further offensive on Europe," The Telegraph writes.
At the same time, experts point out that the quality of Russian-made shells, tanks and other weapons is poor.
We are at a point where the Russians are vulnerable because their production is inadequate," a defence source told The Telegraph.
