Strike at the border: Ukrainian hauliers held a rally at the Polish border

In response to the blocking of the border by Polish carriers, Ukrainian carriers held a rally at the Krakivets-Korczowa checkpoint.
Ukrinform has reported.
Participants of the International Automobile Carriers of Ukraine organisation held a rally at the Polish-Ukrainian border. About 30 lorries took part in the rally.
Today is a warning action - a response to the blocking of key motorways by Polish protesters. Carriers, drivers with lorries joined the rally. We are outraged by the actions of our Polish colleagues, because in this difficult time, instead of supporting Ukraine, they create obstacles," said the chairman of the Public Association "International Automobile Carriers of Ukraine" Volodymyr Mykhalevych.
Ukrainian drivers note that problems should be solved together. Because the war is not over yet and the countries should continue to work together.
In addition, the difficult situation on the border hurts both countries. Therefore, drivers call on Polish colleagues to unite and support food security of the world, rather than fight each other.
It is noted that Ukrainian hauliers do not intend to block checkpoints.
Their goal is to attract the attention of Polish blockers so that they realise that blocking harms not only Ukraine but also Poland and nullifies the assistance their country provides to Ukraine," the statement said.
According to the Ukrainian carriers, instead of trying to eliminate them from the market, it is necessary to help all the carriers who are suffering losses due to the war unleashed by Russia.
Therally at the Krakivets-Korcheva border crossing point will last until 9pm. However, Ukrainian carriers say that they will repeat the actions if their Polish colleagues do not react.
