Russians staged surrender and opened fire on AFU in Luhansk Region

Russia is trying to use the incident to accuse Ukraine of shooting prisoners.
The Russians staged the surrender and then started shelling the Ukrainian defenders. Therefore, the occupiers were liquidated and this incident is another Russian war crime against Ukraine, the Ukrainian parliamentary human rights commissioner Dmytro Lubinets has said.
According to Lubinets, the incident probably took place on or before November 12 in the settlement of Makiivka on the front line in the Luhansk region. A video of it went viral online, he explained:
From individual pieces of video of the incident, it can be concluded that by taking advantage of the mock surrender, the Russian servicemen committed a war crime, namely they opened fire on the Ukrainian Armed Forces' military
Lubinets stressed that in such a case people cannot be considered prisoners of war because they continue fighting:
Retaliatory fire is not a war crime. On the contrary, those who want to take advantage of the protection of international law to kill - should be punished
Lubinets added that the only reason for the deaths of the Russian occupiers are the crimes of the Russian regime, which started a genocidal war against the Ukrainian people:
Unsurprisingly, such accusations are being thrown in amid the liberation of Kherson and the exposure of thousands of new facts about the Kremlin's war crimes. There is no way to divert attention. Murderers remain murderers and war criminals face a tribunal
Meanwhile, Russia said that the "animalistic nature of the Zelensky regime" and appealed to international organizations in connection with the publication of videos in telegram channels in which Russia claims that Ukrainian servicemen are killing Russian prisoners.
