Russian conscripts strengthen protection in Crimea — Gumenyuk

Conscripts from Russia's Chelyabinsk are bolstering protection in temporarily occupied Crimea.
This was reported by Nataliya Humenyuk, spokesperson of the Joint Coordination Press Centre of the Defence Forces of South Ukraine, at a briefing at the Military Media Centre.
The Russians were aware that the Ukrainian Defence Forces would not stop on the right bank of the Dnieper River, they would advance further," she said.
Natalya Humenyuk also adds that the Russians' development of deeper defensive lines is a continuation of the work they have already started at the very beginning of the development on the left bank.
Now their efforts are directed towards Crimea, additional engineering units of conscripts from Chelyabinsk Region have been pulled up there to help dig trenches there," the speaker said.
