Russian occupants start preparing a ferry crossing from Crimea to the mainland

The strike on Sevastopol has caused panic among the Russian occupants and they decided to urgently establish a ferry crossing on the peninsula. This was reported by the chairman of the Majlis of the Crimean Tatar people, Refat Chubarov, on his Facebook page.

He stressed that the decision of the occupation authorities should be a signal to 1 million Russians who moved to the peninsula after its illegal occupation by the Russian Federation.

The Russian occupiers are aware that the bridge across the Kerch Strait has become vulnerable to the high-precision and long-range weapons that the Ukrainian armed forces already have, and therefore they are urgently fixing the ferry crossing between occupied Crimea and Russian territory. Another thing is whether the six ferries provided for the crossing will be enough to evacuate the demoralized troops who will be trapped on the peninsula," he said.

Chubarov stressed that there would not be enough seats on the ferries for everyone, even for Russian servicemen. He also called on residents of Crimea who support the occupation regime to leave the peninsula in advance.
