More than 1,900 military personnel from Azovstal are in Russian captivity

More than 1,900 defenders of the city have been in Russian captivity for two years now. This is reported by the Mariupol city council.

Today is the second anniversary of the release of the defenders of Mariupol from Azovstal. 86 days of heroic defence of Mariupol and more than two years in captivity of the Russians, - stated in the message.

In the city Council reminds that after the super hard situation in Mariupol defenders survived the hell in Yelenovka and continue to fight in captivity.

More than 1,900 military from Azovstal are still in captivity. Every day we fight for your return home and remember your contribution to our independence, - noted in the city council.

Also to the second anniversary of the completion of the defence of Mariupol in different cities of Ukraine held actions-remembrance of the defenders and defenders who are in Russian captivity. And Ukrainian footballers before the start of the match unfurled a poster calling for the release of the captive defenders of the city to attract public attention.
