Journalist Max Levin could have been executed by Russian invaders


Reporters Without Borders (RSF) investigation says Max Levine may have been executed
This is reported by Reporters Without Borders (RSF) in its investigation into the death of reporter Max Levin.
Evidence collected by RSF indicates that Ukrainian photojournalist Max Levin and his friend were executed in cold blood by the Russian military, allegedly after being interrogated and tortured. This happened on the day they disappeared, March 13, 2022, the investigation says.
The participants in the investigation returned to the place where on April 1. the bodies of Levin and serviceman Aleksey Chernyshov were found. The group counted 14 bullet holes in the burnt part of their car.
Traces of the Russians were also found near the site: food packaging and plastic cutlery, which may still contain traces of DNA.
According to RSF, the killing may have been carried out by members of the 106th Airborne Division or special forces. The 106th division is commanded by Colonel Vladimir Seliverstov.
