NATO general says Ukraine needs weapons to win

Ukraine should receive F-16 fighter jets from Western partners, says NATO general
To win the war with Russia, Ukraine needs to provide F-16 fighter jets, drones and long-range missiles. This will give Kiev an advantage and help it go on the offensive, Gen Christopher Kavoli, commander of the Allied Forces in Europe, has said, Politico has reported.
In doing so, Cavoli said the longer-range missiles would help Ukrainian forces strike Russian positions from a greater distance, endangering Russian headquarters and supply lines, which would undermine the Russian military machine from within.
He also called on allies to take all these factors into account and provide Kiev with all the weapons it needs to defend and offensive.
The US and its allies must provide Ukraine with the most modern weapons. This includes modern aircraft, drones and missiles with a range of over 100 kilometres, such as ATACMS," Kavoli said.
