On the night of 3 July, Russia struck Odessa again with Shahed-type kamikaze drones.

At around 3 a.m., explosions erupted in the city - shortly before, enemy drones were reported approaching. As a result of the attack, a residential building was damaged and a fire started.

According to the mayor of Odessa Gennady Trukhanov, one of the drones hit a nine-storey building. Fire broke out in the building from the 7th to the 9th floor. One of the front rooms was damaged, experts admit: it is not safe to be in it. After dismantling the emergency structures, experts will carry out a full assessment of the condition of the house to determine whether its further operation is possible.

According to the State Service for Emergency Situations, 50 residents were evacuated, 10 of them with the help of special equipment. Two children were among those rescued. Four people were injured in the attack.

Communal services and operational headquarters are working at the scene, assistance is being provided to the injured.

The night attack was part of another wave of massive strikes on Ukraine. On the evening of 2 July, the Russian army launched several groups of attack drones on various regions of the country.
