Johnson reveals where Eurovision 2023 should take place

By tradition and according to the rules of the contest, the next Eurovision music contest is held in the country that won the previous one.
Ukraine can and should host the Eurovision Song Contest 2023, British Prime Minister Boris Johnson believes. The Guardian writes about it.
Ukrainians won Eurovision. I know we had a fantastic performance, I know we finished second and I wish we had that. But the fact is that they won and deserved it. They can hold it (Eurovision - ed.), and I think that they should get such an opportunity, - the publication quotes the words of the British prime minister.
He noted that there is still a whole year ahead.
Before the start of Eurovision everything will be fine, - said the British Prime Minister.
He added that the competition can be held in any safe city in Ukraine.
I believe Kyiv or any other safe Ukrainian city would be a fantastic place to host it. There is still a year before it, everything will be fine by the time the Eurovision Song Contest takes place, and I hope that the Ukrainians will understand this, - said the British prime minister.
The day before, the organizers of the song contest announced that they were negotiating to hold the contest in the UK because of the war in Ukraine.
By tradition and according to the rules of the contest, the next Eurovision music contest is held in the country that won the previous one. In 2022, musicians from Ukraine Kalush Orchestra became the winners.
It should be noted that Eurovision has already been held in Kyiv twice - in 2005 and 2017.
