The Russians are constantly spreading lies about Ukraine, promoting it at the highest levels.

Kremlin propaganda has long brainwashed Russian citizens, and they are therefore eager to believe outright tall tales. The head of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Defence Ministry, Kyrylo Budanov, said this in an interview with Dmitriy Komarov.

According to the head of the Ukrainian State Intelligence Directorate, some of the fakes that Moscow has come up with have stunned even him. In particular, the lie about "combat mosquitoes" made the biggest impression on Budanov.

Mosquitoes, by the way - that struck me a little bit. Combat mosquitoes - that's strong already," Budanov said.

For his part Dmitry Komarov reminded that in October 2022 the permanent representative of Russia to the United Nations Organization, Vasily Nebenzya, said that Ukraine created a drone that "transports to a given area a container with a large number of mosquito vectors of infection and releases them; when bitten, the mosquitoes infect attacked people with pathogens of especially dangerous diseases".

Budanov believes that such blatant lies can be believed by people whose minds have been completely altered by propaganda.

Budanov also pointed out that the virus-carrying mosquito myth is not the only lie that Russians blindly believe. Russian prisoners of war, in particular, lie under interrogation that they "went to save Ukrainians," but at the same time, as the head of intelligence notes, in the subconscious of Russians, they have this attitude towards killing Ukrainians.

It is scary. Their brains are completely destroyed by propaganda," the head of the State Intelligence Service said.
