In addition, British intelligence says that Russian forces since October have largely concentrated on building defensive positions along many sections of the front line in Ukraine.
The occupiers are installing additional fields of anti-tank and anti-personnel mines. However, minefields present an effective obstacle for trained troops only when they are covered by surveillance and fire.
It is worth recalling that the head of Ukrainian intelligence, Kyrylo Budanov, previously said that the only area on the front where Russia is still trying to advance is Bakhmut. In all other areas, the occupiers are on the defensive.
