A number of embassies hit during Kyiv's morning shelling - Ukrainian Foreign Ministry


On the morning of 20 December, Russian Federation attacked Kiev with missiles.
The premises of a number of embassies in the centre of the capital were damaged in Kiev on Friday, 20 December, as a result of a missile attack by Russians. This was reported at a briefing by Foreign Ministry spokesman Heorhiy Tykhiy.
According to him, the diplomatic missions of Albania, Argentina, Palestine, North Macedonia, Portugal and Montenegro were damaged or partially destroyed.
A number of embassies in Kiev were damaged by shelling today. All of these embassies are housed in the same house that was severely damaged by the Russian missile attack. These are the embassies of Albania, Argentina, Palestine, North Macedonia, Portugal and Montenegro. Actually, windows, doors, fragments of ceilings have been smashed in the premises," Tykhiy said.
He called the strike "barbaric" and pointed out that worldwide it is considered "crossing red lines."
Fortunately, as of this moment, according to our information, none of our foreign diplomatic colleagues were injured," the Foreign Ministry said.
Tykhiy pointed out that the building is on the balance sheet of the general directorate for servicing diplomatic missions. According to him, the Ukrainian side is already assessing the level of damage and is engaged in liquidating the consequences of these damages to diplomatic institutions.
The Foreign Ministry also showed a photo of the aftermath of the enemy attack.



We shall remind you that Russian troops launched a combined missile strike on the Ukrainian capital at around 07:00 am today. The enemy fired five Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missiles at Kiev. All enemy targets were shot down, but the debris caused damage and destruction in a number of districts of the capital. It is generally known that 12 citizens turned for medical help. One person was killed.
