Residents of border districts in Sumy urged to evacuate

Lieutenant-General Serhiy Naev, commander of the United Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, has made this statement.

According to him, local authorities know the algorithms and ways of evacuation measures.

Almost every day, border population centres are bombarded by enemy forces. The enemy is using artillery, mortars and multiple rocket launchers. Being in one of the settlements I personally convinced an elderly family to urgently leave, because there was an immediate danger. I urge all citizens living in the border regions of Sumy Region to leave," he wrote.

Nayev added that the most dangerous section of the front in the north remains the Sumy direction.

Evacuation in Ukraine

According to the Ministry of Reintegration, evacuations from dangerous or de-occupied regions of Ukraine continue. More than 83,000 citizens have left Donetsk Region for safe regions since August 2022. Among them are more than 9.7 thousand children and more than 3.5 thousand people with low mobility.

More than 25,000 residents have been evacuated from Kharkiv Oblast. And from the de-occupied territory of Kherson region - more than 31 thousand people.

Earlier, Sotsportal reported that the occupiers have deported around 20,000 children since the start of the full-scale invasion.
