Russia is targeting Ukraine's civilian infrastructure, including hospitals.

The World Health Organization has reported that the Russians have damaged or destroyed around 900 medical facilities in Ukraine since the start of full-scale war. They specified that medical facilities include both FAPs, primary health care centres (PHCs), hospital buildings and hospitals in their entirety, CNN has said.

A total of 967 Russian strikes on health facilities have been recorded," the organisation's experts said.

The WHO says the attacks have killed at least 97 people and injured 126.

The WHO condemns all violence against health care. These attacks not only kill and maim but also deprive people of much-needed care, endanger health workers and undermine public health," WHO spokeswoman Margaret Harris told the publication.

She said the attacks are a flagrant violation of international law and must be stopped immediately.

Harris also added that the attack on the hospital in Dnipro, which killed two people and injured more than 30, has not yet been included in the statistics as the organization carefully checks all information about the attacks.

We would like to point out that on Friday, 26 May, Russian invaders once again struck Dnipro with rockets, hitting a polyclinic building. A veterinary hospital was also destroyed. Two people were killed in the attack. One person was passing by.

According to preliminary estimates, rebuilding medical facilities in Ukraine will cost tens of billions of dollars. The most costly will be the reconstruction of in-patient hospitals, because they were equipped with more expensive equipment.
