Ukraine will become a security donor - Zelensky

Because of the war, Ukraine was forced to increase its defence industry and it is likely that it will become one of the main ones in the post-war period, which will allow Ukraine to become a donor of global security. This was stated by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

He noted that Ukraine has begun to independently produce the defence systems necessary for defence against the enemy.

Someday, in time, we will see the maximum armed capacity of Ukraine, our manufacturers, our military-industrial complex, our new co-operation with the world and we will be able to say that the beginning of this was laid right now, - the president pointed out.

He pointed out that Ukraine will become one of the key global producers of weapons and defence systems in the future.

The President noted that "this is not just an ambition or a prospect, it is a potential that has begun to be realised. I thank everyone whose work is exactly such results for Ukraine!".

Earlier, the president announced the creation of the Alliance of Defence Industries and the establishment of a special Defence Fund, which will provide additional resources, in particular, for the development of military industries and support for relevant cooperation, for the creation of new military facilities and programmes that are needed for defence and for taking care of Ukrainian soldiers.
