Three online meetings between Zelensky, Trump and European leaders in one day: how they will be held

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy will hold a series of talks via video conference with European leaders and US President Donald Trump on 13 August.
The format of the meetings is extremely tight - three separate online meetings will be held in one day, the key topic of which will be the future of Ukraine amid preparations for Trump's summit with Putin. This is reported by Reuters.
According to the press service of the German government, the first video conference will begin at 15:00 Kiev time. It will be attended by the heads of Germany, Finland, France, Britain, Italy, Poland, EU leaders, as well as NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte. The purpose of the meeting is to agree on positions before Trump's direct dialogue with the Russian leader.
The second online meeting, scheduled for 16:00 Kiev time, will take place between Trump, US Vice President J.D. Vance and European leaders without the participation of the Ukrainian side.
The third round of talks will take place at 5:30 p.m. and will bring together the so-called "coalition of the willing" - a group of countries working on a plan to support Ukraine in the event of a possible ceasefire.
According to Reuters, a number of senior European officials fear that an agreement disadvantageous to both Europe and Ukraine's security could be reached. They emphasise that a unified EU position will be critical if the negotiation process takes a turn unfavourable to Kiev.
According to a source close to internal discussions in the US, it cannot be ruled out that Trump will try to reach an agreement with Putin without the participation of Kiev and Brussels. At the same time, the agency interlocutor doubts such a probability, noting that such a move could cause serious problems in relations with Ukraine and the EU.
Key moments of the upcoming negotiations:
15:00 - video conference between Zelensky, Trump and European leaders;
16:00 - meeting between Trump and Vance and European leaders;
17:30 - meeting of the "coalition of the willing" to support Ukraine.
We will remind, 15 August in Alaska is planned a personal meeting between Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin. Earlier, the American leader allowed the possibility of a peace agreement with "exchange of territories", while saying that Ukraine will be able to return some of its land. President Zelensky firmly rejected any territorial concessions, emphasising that the country would not give up a single piece of land to the occupiers.
on 12 August, the EU leaders adopted a joint declaration, noting that the path to peace is impossible without Ukraine's participation. The exception was Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban, who did not sign the document and suggested holding a separate EU-RF summit.
