The Ukrainian people received the Dissident Human Rights Award. Usually this award is given to some personal person. But this year, all the people of Ukraine were celebrated for their courageous struggle for freedom and against the aggressive war of Russia.
On behalf of the Ukrainian people, First Lady Olena Zelenska took the award during her visit to the United States.
Since 2015, the prize has been awarded to activists and dissidents of peoples deprived of their liberty for their courage in upholding human rights and freedom.
