The Minister of Defence presented the new Commander of the SDF to the personnel

Rustem Umerov has presented Colonel Serhiy Lupanchuk, the commander of the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, to the personnel. This is reported by the Defence Ministry.

Together with the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, General Valeriy Zaluzhny, they handed over the combat banner of the AFU Special Operations Forces to Colonel Lupanchuk.

We are all proud of the strength of the soldiers of the SSO AFU and sincerely wish them new achievements in the defence of our state against Russian aggression. We thanked Major General Viktor Khorenko for his service," Rustem Umerov said.

The Defence Minister stressed that increasing the capacity of the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is a priority of the state defence policy.
