Security Service of Ukraine reports suspicion of Taisiya Povaliy

The expert examination confirmed the facts of subversive activities of the singer and former MP in favour of the Russian aggressor country.
The SBU has collected evidence against singer and former MP Taisiya Povaliy, who justifies Russia's war of aggression against Ukraine. This was reported by the SBU on 15 February.
On the eve of a full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation, she travelled to the aggressor country, where she obtained Russian citizenship and publicly supported the Kremlin, the security service said.
During an interview with a Moscow-based online publication, Povaliy praised Putin and called for the seizure of the entire territory of Ukraine. She also tried to discredit Ukrainian defenders who took part in the battles for Kyiv.
In addition, in September 2023, at the invitation of terrorist Pasechnik, Povaliy performed at a concert in temporarily occupied Luhansk. Then directly from the stage she spoke in support of the Russian invaders and glorified their participation in the war against Ukraine.
An expert examination confirmed the facts of Povaliy's subversive activities in favour of the aggressor country.
Investigators of the SBU informed Taisiya Povaliy in absentia of suspicion under three articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine:
- ч. 6 Art. 111-1 (collaboration activities);
- art. 436 (public calls for aggressive war);
- ч. 1 of Article 436-2 (justification, recognition of lawful armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine).
Since Povaliy is on the territory of the Russian Federation, complex measures are ongoing to bring her to justice for the committed offences.
