The final decision to hold a press conference will take into account the situation at war.

This was reported by Russian media, citing sources in the government. Two sources said

President Vladimir Putin's annual big press conference may not take place this year, there is no final decision at the moment on whether to hold it before the end of the year

Since 2012, the Russian president's final press conference has been held in December.

One source hints that the final decision will take into account, among other things, the situation in the war.

It is the same situation with Putin's direct line. The last one was held on 30 June 2021. After Russia's full-scale war began, Peskov repeatedly announced a shift in the timing of the event.

In August, he promised that the direct line could be combined with the president's annual press conference, but the final decision has not yet been made, he stressed.
