Former US President George W. Bush called Volodymyr Zelensky "the Winston Churchill of our time."
Bush wrote about this on Instagram after a conversation with Zelensky.
I had the honor to speak for a few minutes with President Zelensky - the Winston Churchill of our time - this morning. I thanked the President for his leadership, his example and his dedication to freedom, and I saluted the courage of the Ukrainian people. President Zelensky assured me that they would not waver in their fight against Putin's barbarism and banditry. Americans are inspired by their fortitude and resilience. We will continue to support Ukrainians who are defending their freedom,” Bush said.
According to the Office of the President , Vladimir Zelensky invited Bush to visit Ukraine at a convenient time for him.
