Zelensky said Russia is preparing to attack other countries in 2028

If the war in Ukraine is frozen, Russia may attack other countries in 2028. This was announced by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. He stressed that he had intelligence data and it appeared that the Kremlin was preparing its troops for a new round of war in 2028. Zelenskyy said this at a news conference in Spain.

He urged the allies not to stop and pause, especially not to expect that the aggressor is interested in stopping the conflict.

If Russia is allowed to adapt now, in 2028 the Kremlin will be able to restore the military potential that we have broken and Russia will have enough power to attack the countries that are in the focus of Russian expansion. Apart from Ukraine, these are definitely the Baltic States and definitely those countries with a Russian contingent on their territory. This is clear information from our intelligence," he pointed out.

The President emphasised that Russia is "looking for opportunities to freeze the situation and adapt, drawing conclusions from its mistakes and preparing to move forward."

Zelensky noted that Moscow is clearly outlining its ambition to "seize more imperial space and prevent Europe from being a space of free nations and working democracies."

He also pointed out that fuelling wars and freezing conflicts is the Kremlin's usual strategy. Moscow did the same with Moldova and Georgia. Now it is trying to snatch pieces from Ukraine and subjugate Belarus.
