Peace will return to the world only after the Kremlin loses and Crimea is returned to Ukraine, the president stressed.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy said during the first official iftar with the participation of Muslim servicemen, representatives of the diplomatic corps and the Majlis of the Crimean Tatar people that Crimea's liberation from the Russian occupiers was non-alternative not only for Ukraine, but also for the world, Ukrinform has said.

There is evil, humiliation, repression, murder and war in the land of Crimea now under the Russian tricolour. But where the path of evil began, that is where victory awaits us, I am sure, and victory over this evil. The de-occupation of Crimea has no alternative, not only for Ukraine but for the whole world. And I am certain of it," Zelensky stressed.

The president pointed out that it was with the occupation of Crimea, repressions against Ukrainian and Crimean Tatar freedoms, against Crimean Muslims that Russia started its attempt to enslave Ukraine and other nations of civilized Europe.

He also stressed that the liberation of the peninsula was important for the world order and international law.

Just as we respect the territorial integrity of all states from Europe to Latin America, we rightly expect the territorial integrity of our state to be respected by all of Ukraine from Polesye to the coast of the Black and Azov Seas, from the northern cities to Sevastopol and Kerch. Our entire east, south, each of our communities, each of our people equally deserve to live and live freely," the president added.

He added that Russia must be punished for the evil it has caused and learn a lesson for itself - "that no one is allowed to destroy peoples' lives and steal from peoples, no one is allowed to spread evil and ruin around the world".
