Zelensky arrived in Sweden for talks

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and First Lady Olena Zelenska have arrived in Sweden on a working visit. The head of state will hold a number of important meetings. This is stated in Telegram Zelensky.

He said that they have already met with Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson, King Karl XVI, Queen Silvia, Speaker Andreas Norlen and heads of parliamentary parties.

Zelensky said that the primary goal of the talks was "strengthening the Ukrainian Armed Forces on the ground and in the sky, as well as the development of bilateral cooperation, particularly in the defence-industrial corps, Ukraine's European integration and common security in the Euro-Atlantic space".

The President also expressed support for Sweden on its path to NATO membership.

Our full support to Sweden on its way to NATO. We are confident that together we will guarantee reliable peace in the entire Baltic-Black Sea-Azov region," Zelenskyy said.

It should be noted that this is the first visit of the Ukrainian president to Sweden since the start of Russia's full-scale invasion in February 2022. Zelenskyy was last abroad in July to attend the NATO summit in Vilnius.
