How much will it cost to transfer the Ukrainian railway to the Eurotrack

Additional investment is needed to increase capacity at border crossings.
The conversion of only one railway line in Ukraine to the European standard can cost from 2 to 3 billion dollars. This was stated by Minister of Infrastructure Alexander Kubrakov in an interview with FT .
He noted that circumstances dictate the passage of the Ukrainian railway and emphasized that Russia's actions to block ports and export Ukrainian grain could lead to world starvation.
They don't care about the life of these people in Africa. They tell them: "We don't give a damn about you. We are only concerned about the sanctions against us. Now you are hostages," Kubrakov said.
He also noted that the transfer of one railway line to the EU standard will cost from 2 to 3 billion dollars. At the same time, additional investments are needed to increase the capacity at border crossings.
As Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal said earlier, Ukraine will begin the phased construction of European standard railway lines in order to connect the Ukrainian railway with the European one. First, the Eurotrack will connect major railway junctions and large cities, and then the network will be gradually expanded throughout the country.
Ukraine is also preparing to sign an agreement with the EU on the liberalization of road freight transport. To increase traffic flows, Ukraine will open two new checkpoints on the western border within six months.
