The UN General Assembly on Tuesday, 10 October, did not support Russia's election as a member of the UN Human Rights Council.



This is stated on the official page of the UN Human Rights Council in social network X.

Among the elected by the General Assembly 15 members of the UN Human Rights Council for 2024 - 2026 the Russian Federation is not.

Among European countries, Albania, Bulgaria, France and the Netherlands are represented.

The Russian Federation competed with Albania and Bulgaria for the seats in the Council reserved for the countries of Central and Eastern Europe.
