The evacuation of the civilian population is under way in Kupyanskiy district. Now more than 2,000 people, including 350 children, have been transported to safe regions.



This was reported by the head of the Kharkiv OVA Oleg Sinegubov on the air of the national telethon.

According to him, evacuation is carried out from 56 settlements in Kupyansk direction. However, not all residents of the region willingly leave, arguing that they leave their homes.

Currently, 2,339 people have already been evacuated, including 350 children. Evacuation continues," Sinegubov said.

The head of the OVA added that the situation in the Kupyansk direction remains difficult.

The enemy is forming another strike fist to try to break through our defence. But our armed forces are fully prepared for any actions of the enemy, adequately respond to all threats and continue to reliably hold their positions, causing damage to the occupants, - he said.

We will add that Russian invaders regularly attack Kharkiv region. As of 13 September, the occupiers have launched more than 20 artillery and mortar strikes on civilian infrastructure and population of the border areas. In particular, the settlement of Kazachya Lopan in Kharkiv region and the village of Olkhovatka in Kupyanskiy region were attacked. The village of Olkhovatka, Kupyansk district, was attacked twice. Volchanskie Khutora of Chuguev district.

Also, a combine harvester was recently blown up by a Russian mine in a field.
