The Bundestag calls for Ukraine's accession to the EU within 5-6 years
Negotiations on Ukraine's accession to the EU can begin now.

One of those who expressed this opinion is the chairman of the Bundestag's European Committee, Anton Hofreiter. He believes that Ukraine will not be able to enter the EU sooner.
The politician said that Ukraine is unlikely to join the EU while a war is going on. However, it is already possible to hold talks on accession to this union.
Hofreiter believes that not everything is perfect in Ukraine in terms of the state, such as corruption, the rule of law and freedom of the media.
But if Ukraine solves these and other problems, it has a real chance.
