US authorises Germany to transfer long-range missiles and interceptors for Patriot systems to Ukraine

The defence forces have shortages of long-range missiles, artillery and air defence ballistic missiles.
The USA has approved the transfer of 125 long-range artillery rockets and 100 missiles for Patriot air defence systems from Germany to Ukraine. The New York Times quoted a congressional official as saying.
The United States has approved the transfer of 125 long-range artillery rockets and 100 Patriot anti-aircraft missiles from Germany to Ukraine," the newspaper writes.
The newspaper explains that these critically needed weapons are manufactured in the United States, and even if they already belong to another country - in this case Germany - they can only be transferred with the permission of the US government.
Earlier it became known that Germany will significantly limit information about what weapons it supplies to Ukraine, after three years of extensive transparency. The main goal is "not to give the aggressor a military advantage in the war in Ukraine".
Note, the Christian Democratic Union, the Christian Social Union and the Social Democratic Party of Germany even before they officially came to power, in the coalition agreement confirmed that they will continue to support Ukraine.
Before that, the deputy head of the Verkhovna Rada committee for national security, defence and intelligence, Yehor Chernev, said that the Defence Forces lacked long-range missiles, artillery and air defence ballistic missiles.
