Ukraine will soon start exporting electricity to the European Union.
At the moment, technical work is being carried out to ensure the first deliveries to Romania, Slovakia and Hungary, Khmarochos reports.
This was announced by the chairman of the board of Ukrenergo Volodymyr Kudrytsky.
As indicated, due to the large number of refugees and the closure of a number of enterprises in Ukraine, an excess of electricity has formed.
At the same time, there is a lack of it in Europe. Ukrainian electricity will help offset this, as well as bring in up to $1.6 billion in profit per year.
