The range will work in three areas: robotic systems, drones and REB systems.

As early as in May, Ukraine will start operating the "Iron Range" - a place where Ukrainian arms manufacturers will be able to test their weapons at any stage of readiness. Colonel Andriy Lebedenko, deputy commander-in-chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, said this, Interfax-Ukraine and Suspilne reported.

He noted that so far the testing of weapons produced in Ukraine had a number of difficulties. In particular, private manufacturers had limited access to testing grounds, which slowed down professional evaluation of products. The state has decided to eliminate this problem.

This polygon will allow the manufacturer to get access to the professional evaluation of his product, to direct it according to the test methodology, to provide a site, appropriate tools to evaluate the characteristics, and will also help him to get all the necessary assistance in the execution of documents, - explained Lebedenko.

He added that it will be possible to evaluate the work of robotic systems, drones and REB systems at the test site.

Nothing is reported about the location of the firing range.

We would like to point out that Ukraine currently has 500 enterprises of the defence industry complex. In particular, the defence industry complex produces domestic shells, cannons, mortars, armoured vehicles, anti-tank systems, REB systems, marine drones and many other things. Almost 300,000 people are involved in the production of Ukrainian weapons.
