Ukraine plans to fulfill the requirements for EU candidate by the end of the year

Vice Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration Olha Stefanishyna said this, Ukrainian News Agency reports .
We hope that by the end of the year the implementation of all these steps is possible. I think that most of them we can implement even faster. This concerns the adoption of certain legislation and the implementation of technical tasks. At the end of 2022, the European Commission will prepare conclusions and assess how effectively Ukraine has managed to implement the recommendations. This is in our interests, because we also want to talk about the beginning of negotiations (on joining the EU) , - said the Deputy Prime Minister.
When asked whether it could be that due to Ukraine's failure to comply with the recommendations, the candidate's status may be withdrawn, Stefanyshina said that "we will not give the status of our candidate to the EU to anyone."
She also noted that a number of events are planned for June 24 and 27 after the announcement of the results of voting for granting Ukraine candidate status. And on July 1, solemn events are planned to mark the receipt of such a status by Ukraine.
