The escalating conflict in the Middle East is of grave concern to world leaders.

Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk has expressed fears of a possible global clash amid the escalating conflict between Israel and Iran in the Middle East.

In particular, Tusk released a statement in X in which he stressed that tensions between Israel and Iran are approaching a full-scale regional war that could destabilise the entire world.

Not since World War II have we been this close to a global conflict," he said.

The head of the Polish government urged the countries of Europe and the United States to take joint action to prevent further escalation.

Recall that on the night of June 13, Israel struck Iranian facilities related to the nuclear programme, saying that it seeks to prevent Iran from having nuclear weapons.

Some 18 hours after the attack, Iran responded by launching ballistic missiles at Israel.
