Trump's top Senate supporter has spoken out against dialogue with Putin

The Kremlin cannot be trusted and any peace proposals there will be perceived as weakness.
The main fan of Donald Trump in the Senate, Republican Mike Rounds said that it is impossible to go to negotiations with the head of the Kremlin Vladimir Putin to stop the war in Ukraine. About this writes Politico.
He opposed negotiations on a peace agreement between Russia and Ukraine and emphasised that Putin would not be stopped by any territorial concessions. According to Rounds, the Russian speaker will go further if he is not rebuffed.
As much as I would like to believe that we can negotiate with a tyrant, I suspect we may be fooling ourselves. Any attempt to offer peace will be seen by the Kremlin as a sign of Western weakness," he said.
He also spoke in favour of arming Ukraine and stressed that the USA should have been making increased arms deliveries to Kiev from the first days of Russian Federation's invasion of Ukraine.
I'm just so frustrated that we have not been able to provide them with all the equipment and all the weapons systems they need to respond to the absolute tyranny coming from Russia", he said.
It is noted that the comments of Senator Rounds are not an official position of the future administration of President-elect Donald Trump.
Recall, 15 November Trump said that Russia and Ukraine must stop, and promised to work to end the conflict. 20 November Reuters reported that Putin is ready to talk to Trump about ending the war, but will not make concessions.
