The consequences of the Russian Federation's night strike on Sumy have become known

On the night of 8 September, the Russians carried out an air strike on the city of Sumy, which killed two people and injured two children. The consequences of the strike were reported by the Sumy Region prosecutor's office.

Thus, according to the investigation, on 8 September, at about 04:00, using methods of warfare prohibited by international law, the Russian military launched airstrikes on a dacha community in Sumy.

As a result of the occupants' attack, a couple, aged 79 and 77, were killed in their own house. Four more people were injured, including a 2-year-old girl and an 8-year-old boy," the ministry said.

One private residence was destroyed and at least 20 private residences were damaged, as well as 4 vehicles.

Under the procedural guidance of the Sumy Regional Prosecutor's Office, a pre-trial investigation was launched on the fact of violation of laws and customs of war, combined with premeditated murder (part 2 of article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
