Stories of heroic women at war shared by the Ministry of Internal Affairs

The Interior Ministry shared photos and stories of female employees of the Interior Ministry on International Women's Day on 8 March. This is reported by the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

We are proud of our women, we thank them for their daily struggle for our independence, for the safety and protection of Ukrainians, - the message reads.

Alla Gerasimovich is an employee of the State Migration Service of Ukraine. She rescued important documents of the centre from Mariupol. Now she heads the Passport Service in Slovakia.

Oksana is the first professional female diver in Ukraine, head of the diving and rescue department of the State Emergency Service in Kiev. Engaged in search operations, saved many lives.

"Lysa" is a UAV operator of the "Fury" brigade. Before the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation served in the patrol police of Mariupol, later joined the ranks of "Lyuti".

"Witch" - border guard sniper. In the past - a history teacher. A professional sprostsmenka and instructor in practical shooting. Destroys the occupants from a sniper rifle of 308 calibre.

Alyona Datsyuk is an employee of the Main Service Centre of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Since March last year she has been serving in the Territorial Defence Forces of the AFU.

And this is only a small part of the titanic work that is performed every day by rescuers, police officers, border guards, National Guard fighters, migration officers and service centre workers," the ministry said.

Also, the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky noted that Ukrainian women treat, teach, volunteer, rescue, heroically defend their families and our state. Professional, selfless, determined, with great inner strength.
