Sullivan said that the de-occupation of Kherson was one of the topics of discussion during the unannounced visit.
Sullivan also stressed that the White House will provide all the necessary support for this:
It's not my job to assess the situation on the battlefield. My job is to make sure we provide Ukraine with what it needs to make this happen.
The United States is also providing additional military assistance to Ukraine in the amount of $400 million, the aid package includes 250 M1117 armored personnel carriers, 40 armored boats, 1,100 Phoenix Ghost drones, and a total of 90 tanks.
At the same time, it became known that Israel may start transferring weapons to Ukraine due to Iran's rapprochement with the Russian Federation. Bloomberg reports that Israel may transfer domestically produced weapons to Ukraine through re-export through third countries.
And the Italian government intends to approve the sixth military aid package for Ukraine because of the Russian invasion. This was announced by Italian Defense Minister Guido Crosetto, according to ANSA.
In turn, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba said on the air of a single telethon that by the end of the year Ukraine could receive new missile defense and air defense systems. Supply arrangements are in the process of implementation.
